Who are you and what do you do?

My name is Pierrot and I am an iOS Developer for Studio Graphene.

I use the powerful tools Apple have made available to create awesome apps that will answer the clients’ needs and provide a good and reliable product for them!

How did you get here?

After completing my degree in Computer Science and then finishing National Service in my hometown in Switzerland, I moved to England and joined as an iOS developer in a mobile development company in Canterbury, Kent.

I then moved to working for a sister company of Studio Graphene in London. This - eventually! - led to working for Studio Graphene.

How is Studio Graphene different from other agencies you’ve worked with / for?

Studio Graphene has a great team spirit and democratic decision making which makes a great working environment and enables us all to get involved and grow as a team and company.

Team lunches, events and the friendships between us makes it really special.

What’s the most exciting piece of innovation or development you’ve discovered recently?

As an iOS developer my range is quite restricted, but I think that face detection on devices is really clever.

What do you think the ‘next big thing’ in tech is going to be?

I think it’s going to be interconnection between smart objects, such as your car, your house, lamps, door, windows, etc... It’s already amazing what we can achieve with just a phone, and I think this will continue to grow even more in the future.

How worried are you about the rise of the machines?

I am not worried about it, I am actually quite excited for it. This innovation could be a great addition and help for our societies; technology has already helped us to make lots of progress in the past and AI is just another tools that will be to our disposition.

Yes there are risks but this will depend on how us as humans are using it - like all technology it can be used for good or for bad.

What’s your spirit animal?

A turtle, like Maria!

What does your failsafe playlist contain?

I have such a wide range of taste in music that my playlist changes constantly!
