Their technology uses a set of videos taken from different viewpoints which is then transformed into volumetric holograms - volograms - these can then be enjoyed in Virtual and Augmented Reality.
Volograms required a complete brand refresh designed to help expand their offering and evolve their B2B proposition to also include B2C. They also needed UI and UX design for their customer facing application, as well as a new website to be designed and built.
The old brand had a strong rationale and lots of meaning behind it - elements we were excited to use as the foundation of our own explorations to create a refreshed Volograms’ visual identity.
We wanted to help them take what they had to the next level to showcase the team's professionalism, their bleeding edge technology and to create an identity that would work across their digital ecosystem.
We honed in on a new triangular 3D shape paying homage to the old logo but giving it more meaning, depth, volume and connection to the technology used within the product.
We explored the 3D shape further, evolving it into a logo and animations designed to be used across different digital touchpoints including the website and app.
Designing for scalability in mind, we began looking at the UI elements including the use of modern typography, gradients and a specific focus on the core filter feature to appeal to content creators and influencers. Additionally we also designed a light and dark theme to suit all users’ needs.
Using Webflow we built a new website designed to give visitors an interactive and playful user experience but to also empower the Volograms’ team with a flexible, easy to use and cost effective web platform fit for the future.
We created a vibrant visual identity for Volograms designed to be engaging and representative of the company, its new direction and its use of innovative technology. The playful nature of our animations became a key part of the website and app design and our aim was to delight users with every scroll or movement of the mouse.
